Description
- Origin: Rosemary is native to the Mediterranean region, particularly Southern Europe and North Africa. It has been used for thousands of years in Greek, Roman, and Egyptian cultures for culinary, medicinal, and ceremonial purposes.
- Distribution: Now grown in many parts of the world with mild climates — including India, USA, Spain, Italy, Morocco, and France. In India, rosemary cultivation is growing, especially in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and parts of South India (Tamil Nadu, Karnataka) due to its medicinal demand.
